Volunteers

Cruse is a national charity with localised branches that provide advice, information and support to anyone who has been bereaved (children, young people and adults), whenever or however the death occurred. The service is provided by trained, experienced volunteers, and is confidential and free.

Volunteers are vital to the ongoing services and support that Cruse provides and are very much welcomed and appreciated. VOLUNTEER VACANCY: Volunteer Supervisors

Cruse Bereavement Care, Richmond upon Thames Branch, is looking for volunteer supervisors to supervise and support groups of 4-5 volunteers or volunteers on a 1-1 basis, depending on service needs, within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Cruse Bereavement Care is the UK’s largest bereavement charity and promotes the well-being of bereaved people and supports those people bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

Supervision for volunteers usually takes place monthly in 2 hour sessions for groups and 1 hour sessions on a 1-1 basis. There might also be a need to provide some ad hoc support for volunteers in between supervision sessions.

The branch provides supervision and support for all branch supervisors in a 2 hour monthly supervision group. The branch also provides about 4 internal training sessions a year for all branch members.
